I got two new cds. Hawksley Workman's 'Almost a Full Moon' and '(last night we were) the delicious wolves'. Now i have 4 Hawksley cds.
Hawksley's music touches my soul in a completely different way than other music does. I like to say that AFI is my understanding and Hawksley is my hope music-wise.
Hawksley's music fills me with joy, to the point of me being on the verge of tears. It gives me inspiration. It can help me through some hard days. Hawksley Workman's music warms my soul. I'm a part of the Soup Kitchen, Hawksley's message boards. It's like home there. I'm still getting into the groove but i feel like i can be me there. I am a Soupie. And I'm proud. I've met some great people too.
There is such a beauty to every note of Hawksley's music. Hawksley plays vertually all the instruments. He writes. Produces. Sings (that counted as an instrument, didn't it? hehehe).
One day (along with and possibly ) I will create music to be available to all. Music that is more than notes. Music that can fill a person with hope and understanding and compassion. Music that can save someone's life. One day, through my own music, I will be able to somewhat repay all those musicians who've saved my life. I still need some saving, but at least my life is safe in my own hands now. Music is undescribable. There is nothing like truly connecting with music. Sometimes I am almost brought to tears by music. Sometimes I am brought to tears by music.
Music is a gift from God, sent to keep me alive, and I thank Him dearly for it.
